I was back in the studio today after a few days in Seattle. The above photos are from our last day when we took the ferry across to Bainbridge.
Whenever D and I travel, there is one thing I can count on. Sometime during the course of the trip, D will float the idea of moving to wherever we are visiting. It has happened in multiple cities and actually, multiple countries and it is my duty as the appointed "brakes of the relationship" to find reasons to stay put and to not flit about like gypsies.
I'd never been to Seattle before but my prepared, bulletproof argument was that it is too rainy (and the suicide and heroin-addiction rates are high but really, these are probably also due to the rain). The weather however was beautiful. Although it rained everyday, the sun also made an appearance everyday and as D said, it is as if the daily rain makes you a bit more thankful for the daily sun. So I guess we are moving to Seattle... totally kidding... sort of... not really.
Seriously though, it was beautiful and comfortable and I'm looking forward to spending more time in the upper left-hand corner of these united states.
Back to work...
Hello!
I like to check on your blog now and again. I missed that you were in Seattle! I would have said, "Welcome!" and I hope you enjoy your stay. Congratulations on all your success; your designs are so great. I'm planning to get the iphone wallet for a friend this x-mas.
All the best,
Britt

We'd love to have you here. Be nice to have a new, crafty business move to town. There's not enough of us... and some more non-heroin-addicted, suicidal, happy people are always welcome in the Emerald (here, synonymous with rainy) City.
